From the fist visit to see Mr Simmons I felt confident and at ease that I had made the right choice in consultant for my condition. He examined me and took time to really listen to my concerns. I’ve had a few issues previously with bleeding post operation and he was taking no chances in this happening again and referred me to haematology for further investigation to ensure I had no underlying clotting issues. Mr Simmons surgery runs on time and bloods were taken the same day immediately after our appointment making the visit very time efficient for me. My results came back quickly thru the easily accessible on line system. On the day of my surgery Mr Simmonds came to see me, explaining everything and I felt at ease. I woke up from my operation quickly, feeling good and felt no pain, i recovered well and was discharged the same day not requiring an overnight stay. Mr Simmons has been available thru the hospital messaging system and responded quickly to any queries I had before and after surgery. My scar has healed so well it’s virtually invisible in just a few weeks and will disappear completely thanks to the Mr Simmons skill as a surgeon. I’m very grateful for the excellent treatment I’ve received throughout the whole process, Mr Simmons is very kind with genuine patient empathy and wonderful bedside manner, I would highly recommend him. Jon is a sublime practitioner in his field. His incredibly elegant fix of my shattered thumb, left it looking as good as it was before it was broken. He accompanied me on the journey in a way that gave me confidence but more importantly, perhaps, gave me comfort. I agree with the other reviews that this is a specialist who can be recommended without qualification. The fact that he is also charming was an added bonus!!

Dr Jon Simmonds is simply amazing! I have severe ankle arthritis, and Jon worked with the orthopaedic surgeon (Nadeem Mushtaq) to enable him to remove a large bony growth from my right ankle. During my initial consultation, Jon clearly articulated how he would elevate my ALT flat so the procedure could happen. We had a good chat about my original injury as I'd been treated at Charing Cross Hospital, and he knew my old surgeons. During the hospital stay, Jon was kind and reassuring and he informed me how I could be mobile at home. At the final outpatient appointment, Jon explained clearly what had healed well and what I needed to keep an eye on. The scarring is much better than I expected, a testament to Jon's surgical skills. Jon also explained that if I experience any issues, he'll be available anytime to help.

Mr Simmons is the crème de la crème in his field. I feel very fortunate to have been treated by him due to a complicated injury that I sustained 16 months ago.
